The square is bordered by a three-level façade balanced by the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian pillars of the Chiesa Madre Santa Maria delle Stelle. In the middle of the square there is a neoclassical covered market that now accommodates the Kasmeneo town museum where you can see a bizarre collection of cetaceans and sea tortoises in addition to the Dufalino library, which the writer gifted to the town.
