Favignana : Michelin's recommendations

The main town of the island of the same name and of the Egadi archipelago, Favignana shelters in a wide bay overlooked by Santa Caterina fort, an old Saracen watchtower. The main attractions of this small town include a port, a traditional tonnara (tuna fishery), the Palazzo Florio (once owned by a family which helped develop tuna fishing in the area), and two squares linked by the main street, where the evening passeggiata (stroll) takes place. Plus, of course, the town’s delightful beaches.
