Halaesa : Michelin's recommendations

Halaesa was originally founded by the Siculi in the 5C BC; it later passed into Greek then Roman hands, before being completely destroyed by the Arabs. Near the Santa Maria di Palate chapel, excavations have revealed the Roman Forum and its chapels, as well as a patrician house and sections of bastions of the fortified walls dating from the Greek period.
