This is the port of Lipari which gives berth to small boats and hydrofoils in addition to providing the setting for the Saint-Bartholomew festivities. Back on dry land, the small church of the Souls of Purgatory perched on its rock seems to keep watch over the port in the same way as church San Giuseppe above the South bay.
