Marettimo is the wildest of the Aegadian Islands; it consists of little more than a small port, with a cluster of little white square houses huddled at foot of the mountain. Take a boat tour around the island to discover the magnificent caves in the bottom of the steep cliffs: Grotta del Cammello, at the end of a small gravel beach, Grotta del Tuono, Grotta Perciata and especially Grotta del Presepio, so named because the rocks have been eroded by the water and wind in such a way as to resemble a nativity scene.
