Marsala : Michelin's recommendations

Marsala stands on Capo Lilibeo, a headland which bears the name of the original settlement here; the name is thought to come from Lily, meaning water, and Beo, which refers to the Eubeans, the first inhabitants of the site. The port, which is renowned for its excellent wine and famous for the arrival of Garibaldi’s troops in 1860, has a distinctly African atmosphere.
