This museum accommodates and the wreck of a Carthaginian ship from the 3C BC, washed up near Mozia in 1969. It is a liburna, a very fast 35 m long warship which is believed to have excelled during the battle of the Egadi in 241 BC. You can learn about the early construction techiniques and see the nails which show no sign of rust after 2000 years underwater.
