Milazzo Travel guide
Milazzo : Michelin's recommendations
Milazzo stands on a sickle-shaped promontory overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Because of its strategic position, the site has been occupied since time immemorial and has been the scene of many fierce battles, as the imposing fortress which dominates the town testifies. The modern town has developed along the coast, gradually turning its back on the old medieval quarter on the hill. Ferries sail from Milazzo harbour to the Aeolian islands.
