Mistretta : Michelin's recommendations
This elegant village of stone houses stands at an altitude of 950m and is overlooked by the ruins of a feudal castle. Famous for its Feast of the Madonna of the Light, the village is also home to some fine churches, such as Santa Caterina, San Giovanni and the Chiesa Madre, which houses numerous works of art.

Main church of St Lucy (Chiesa madre Santa Lucia)

Partly rebuilt in 17C, the church has preserved an attractive original marble portal. Inside, a Madonna of the Miracles attributed to Giorgio da Milano and an attractive retable by Antonello Gagini . The chancel stalls date from the 17C.
