: Michelin's recommendations
The small town of Naro is thought to have been founded by the Greeks. Although its magnificent Duomo (cathedral) was built by the Normans, the town’s greatest period of prosperity was in the 17C and 18C, when its many Baroque churches and monuments were built. Despite the poor condition of many of these buildings, their unifying style gives the town a harmonious appearance.
