MasseriaLa Corte del Sole lies on the top of a hill and offers its guests a wonderful view over Vendicari, one of the most beautiful wildlife reserves of Sicily, a real heaven and shelter for lots of animals.Thanks to a detailed renovation, this typical Sicilian country house of the 19th century has been rebuilt using valuable materials like the white stone of Noto, the Sicilian craftmade terracotta floor, the sandstone of Syracuse and the old terracotta tiles for the roofs, realizing the revival of an old-style charming place.In the middle of the untouched nature of the Vendicari reserve and in a landscape full of history, like the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Eloro and the Villa Romana del Tellaro Mosaics, La Corte del Sole offers an elegant hospitality, in a warm and familiar place in which it is possible to experience the real Sicilian atmospheres. RoomsOur rooms are large and furnished in different ways. Each one has its own personality, our rooms don't have numbers but names of Sicilian island and cities. Beds are made from wrought iron or antique wood or Caltagirone ceramic. This personality is well evident in our 4 superior rooms, each one furnished with a canopy bed, with different atmospheres and colours. Some of them have a sea-view. Particular attention has been paid to rooms: they are equipped with summer and winter air conditioning system, bathroom with classic and whirpool shower or bathtub, hair-dryer, telephone, minibar, sat television, safe box and wireless internet connection.RestaurantSmall and elegant rooms make up our restaurant. Our chef offers dishes extremely careful and genuine, inspired by the old Sicilian culinary tradition and its ethnic influences, as well as by the ingredients in season. Our Chef pays also great attention to dishes presentation.In summertime it's possible to enjoy dinner in our wonderful terrace, under a starry sky, surrounded by the Vendicari reserve frame with its gorgeous sea. A great attention is dedicated also to materials chosen and to our wine-cellar, rich in local labels. Our restaurant offers a special menu for kids.BarsBreakfast is served in the old olive and grape mill dated 1887 in which an intelligent restoration has been able to join the old and the new in a delightful way.
