A statue of the Virgin stands at the centre of this square, flanked by the monastery of Santissimo Salvatore with a curved façade, the convent of Sta Chiara with attractive bulging grilles in wrought iron and of course the church of San Francesco all’Immacolata, a work by Sinatra with a relatively simple Baroque facade. Inside are items originally from the Franciscan church in Noto Antica, the old town.
