This little Roman church was founded in the 12C by Matteo d'Ajello, a noted figure at the service of the Norman kings. In 1197, Henry IV gave it to the order of the Teutonic Knights. It is particularly remarkable for its beautiful projecting façade, decorated with three levels of arches. The inside, divided into three naves, is simple and sparsely decorated.
