Racalmuto : Michelin's recommendations

This village 12km northeast of Agrigento is both the birthplace and burial site of the great Sicilian writer Leonardo Sciascia (1921-89). Sciascia was the author of Candido or A Dream Dreamed in Sicily, which denounces the scourges of Italo-Sicilian society in a precise style reminiscent of detective novels.
