Carmelo Cappello was a contemporary sculptor born in Ragusa in 1912. He began in the 1930s in a figurative style before moving on to abstract works. This modest yet interesting collection is a study of the evolution of an artist refining his style little by little, erasing the faces of his figures to finally arrive in his last works in steel with pure, cold lines.
