Built in 1545, the monastery has been redesigned to house a Byzantine-Norman museum. Excavations have brought to light fine Byzantine wall paintings (11C). The ground floor displays frescoes from other churches, and the first floor is given over to the exhibition of various objects found in local necropolises.
