Between Scopello and San Vito lo Capo, Zingaro Nature Reserve (1 650ha) was the first such reserve in Sicily. It protects many animal species, as well as evidence of the presence of mankind down the ages. There are magnificent panoramic views of inlets, beaches and bays from the main path which overlooks the coastline.
