Termini Imerese Travel guide
Termini Imerese : Michelin's recommendations
Termini’s importance grew when those fleeing Himera settled near the thermal springs here after their town had been destroyed by the Carthaginians in 408 BC. It was very prosperous as a Roman settlement, but later declined as a result of invasions, before flourishing again under the Arabs, then the Normans. Today, it is an important port with a vast industrial complex.
