This huge monastic complex was built in the 14C and remodelled in the 18C. The façade of the sanctuary is embellished by a Gothic doorway and a very elaborate rose window. On the left side is the Sailors’ Chapel. Hewn from the tufa rock, this is an elegant Renaissance construction. Inside, on the altar, stands a harmonious 14C statue known as the Madonna of Trapani.
