From the top of Mt Antennammare (1 130m), where the Santuario Maria Santissima di Dinnamare is stationed, an extraordinary panorama unfurls over Messina and its port, Capo Peloro (or Punta del Faro) and Calabria to the east, and, to the west, the Ionian Coast with the sickle-shaped Milazzo headland and Rometta, clinging to the hillside. Come back as far as the San Rizzo Pass and turn right onto the SS 113 to head back down to Messina via the wooded slopes of the pass.
