Situated below the Gaeta-Terracina road, after the last tunnel, this cave owes its name to a misadventure of the emperor Tiberius (who had a villa of which some burnt remains still exist at the other end of the tunnel). Rocky blocks fell from the roof and he only just escaped with his life.
