This square (which should be seen on a Wednesday when it is invaded by a colourful market) is bounded by the ogive arcades of a 13C aqueduct, the Baroque corner of S. Chiara and the Gothic doorway of S. Filippo. On the external side of the aqueduct, the Fountain of the Old Man owes its name to the inscription there under a bearded head.
