Tirol : Michelin's recommendations
Tirolo is the perfect example of a charming Tyrolian village, lying 4km north of Merano from which it can be accessed via a chairlift. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, the village is dominated by the 12C Castel Tirolo. The American poet Ezra Pound, who worked on his epic work Cantos here, is remembered and honoured in Tirolo.
