Lying south of Mont Serano, coiled up like a snail and looking over a magnificent plain planted with thousands of olive trees, Trevi is a real oasis of calm. With its churches and palaces, this maze of little medieval streets, all of which seem to come out on the elegant Piazza Mazzini, exudes a very distinctive sense of harmony. Olive oil, the town's speciality, is given pride of place in the Museo della Civiltà dell'Ulivo. Don't miss the second section of the museum, the Pinacoteca, which exhibits the work of minor Umbrian painters of the 13C-15C.
