This museum came into existence thanks to a family of collectors who used to live in this 18C building. The many rooms spread over the four storeys house period furniture and objects, most of which were brought from the grand mansions of Trieste. Two rooms which contain particularly fragile works can only be visited upon request (the 14C Trittico di Santa Chiara Room, as well as the room with a large collection of sketches and ink drawings by Tiepolo).
