Aulla Travel guide
Aulla : Michelin's recommendations
A delightful town in the Lunigiana region, Aulla is overlooked by the Fortezza della Brunella (the name is probably a reference to the brown-coloured rock), thought to have been built by a member of the Medici family. The Natural History Museum in Aulla contains a reconstruction of the natural environments of this region bordering the Magra river and is an excellent complement to the Ethnography Museum in Villafranca in Lunigiana.

La Lunigiana is a region of great diversity, ranging from karstic (limestone) caves rich in concretions to Mediterranean scrubland. The museum, housed in the Fortezza della Brunella, offers an excellent opportunity to find out more about this region ..
