This beautiful Roman building made of white limestone is fronted by a portal that is large and sober which starts with a lintel sculpted with scenes of the harvest. The bell-tower is thickset and castellated with windows with small columns set in it. Inside, there is a superb 12C ambo in marble with low-relief depicting episodes in the lives of Mary and Christ.
