The Marble Museum focuses on the use of marble from Antiquity to the modern day. It is broken down into five sections: the first uses archaeological pieces to illustrate the use of marble in the region during Roman times. The second room, the Marble Gallery, contains more than 300 slabs of marble and granite, samples from the world's major deposits. The third is dedicated to extraction techniques adopted from the 18C to the early 20C. The fourth section gives an insight into the various aspects of the use of marble, and the fifth is devoted to modern sculpture.
