Things to see and do - Cerreto Guidi
Cerreto Guidi Travel guide
Cerreto Guidi : Michelin's recommendations
Cerreto is located in the hills southwest of Monte Albano. Its history has always been linked to the area’s abundance of vineyards and olive groves, and natural features such as the Padule di Fucecchio marshland, home to numerous bird species. Worth a visit is the elegant Villa Medicea, converted by Buontalenti for Cosimo I in around 1560, and fronted by two superb monumental brick staircases leading to the entrance. From the esplanade, there is a beautiful view over the hills of the Arno valley.
