Lucignano
: Michelin's recommendations
Situated between Siena and Montepulciano, this medieval village in the Val di Chiana is a haven of tranquillity. It has an unusual elongated shape, with its main street rising in spirals before entering a picturesque maze of narrow streets around the historic centre, which lies in the shadow of the ruins of its 14C castle (cassero). The village is also home to a number of churches and an interesting museum.
