Magliano in Toscana : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum

Magliano stands at the top of a hill covered with olive trees, half-concealed behind its 14C ramparts, in a charming landscape that is typical of Tuscany. The main street (Via di Mezzo) runs through the village, which has two churches: San Martino, which dates from the Romanesque period, and San Giovanni Battista, which boasts a Renaissance façade. The remains of an Etruscan necropolis once belonging to ancient Heba can be seen not far from the village.

The remains of this 12C Romanesque church stand alone in the middle of a field. Enjoy the image of these ruins as they blend harmoniously into the soft, watercolour hues of the surrounding countryside.
