It’s worth making a detour to this delightful flower-decked village to admire its unique circular street lined with medieval houses and towers, as well as the picturesque Gothic church of San Stefano. The navigator-explorer, Amerigo Vespucci, after whom America was named, was born in one of these houses (look for the V for Vespucci on the façade).
