: Michelin's recommendations
This tiny medieval village, south of Siena, consists of a row of houses backing onto the town walls. The village is famous for the archaeological site of Poggio Civitate, where the remains of an Etruscan villa have been discovered and excavated. Artefacts found in the villa are now on display in the town museum, which is housed in the Palazzone (the old bishop's palace).
