This is accessed by crossing the remains of the city walls with Etruscan foundations and aqueduct, then reaching Piazza della Repubblica. The long and sometimes steeply sloping town is criss-crossed by paved streets linked by covered passages and stairways. In the lower part there is a Renaissance façade on the small 12C church of San Rocco, which has an openwork belfry.
