The castle of Piagnaro houses the museum, which contains a collection of anthropomorphic sculptures. The feminine statues represent the mother goddess, symbol of fertility, while the heavily armed male sculptures may have been intended to deify heroes or local chiefs. The statues span a long period from the 2C BC to the 5C BC.
