Dominated by its imposing tower, the fortress of Radicofani was the den of Ghino di Tacco, a late-13C outlaw about whom opinions differ. Condemned by Dante, he was praised by Boccace. An explosion in the 18C partially destroyed the castle, but its majestic ruins were shored up in the 90s.
