Sansepolcro : Michelin's recommendations
In the 10C, two pilgrims brought back relics of the Holy Sepulchre from the Holy Land. A small chapel was built to house them and the settlement of Borgo Sansepolcro grew up around it. Between 1415 and 1420, Piero della Francesca was born in a cobbler's house here. Today, Sansepolcro has preserved many of its old medieval houses and is the home of Buitoni pasta.
