This very attractive street links the cathedral square with that of the Four Cantons and is decorated with the Chigi alla Postieria palace (16 C) and the palace of the Captain of Justice, dating from the end of the 13 C, an attractive, Gothic building built in stone and brick. The lower level is powerful yet austere in response to the height of the building relieved by a succession of twin Gothic window bays.
