This is an extension of the Via di Citta and like it, it surrounds the palaces on the Piazza del Campo. There is the rear facade of the Piccolomini palace, in white stone, probably by the Florentine architect Bernardo Rosselino, which contains the town archives. Further on is the Pope's lodge which was built at the request of Pius II Piccolomini.
