Sinalunga : Michelin's recommendations

The ancient town of Sinalunga, overlooking the Chiana valley, developed on the plain after drainage work enabled malaria to be eradicated from what was once an unhealthy area. The old town huddles around Piazza Garibaldi, which is framed by three churches, including the 16C collegiate church of San Martino, built on the site of a former fortress. The Medici coat of arms on the Palazzio Pretorio bears witness to the influence of this family in the town.
