Born at Lucca, the writer of Tosca moved to this villa in 1891 and lived a somewhat, disturbed existence there, marked by drama, disasters and triumphs, until his death in 1928. Many documents retrace his life and work in this house which has been transformed into a museum... and a mausoleum.
