Monastery
: Michelin's recommendations
The monastery has been altered several times since its foundation by St John Gualbert and has preserved its16C and 17C appearance. Its noble facade, pierced by casement windows in pietra serena was designed by Gherardo Silvani (1635-1640). On the right side, the tower is the last remains of earlier times. Under the porch of the church (inside it is Baroque) is a sculpture by Roberto Nardi (1990), An olive branch for peace, showing John Gualbert and the wild animals of Vallombrosa
