Vetulonia : Michelin's recommendations

Vetulonia on the Grosseto plain was once one of the most powerful towns in northern Etruria. The modern village occupies the site of the ancient Etruscan settlement and has preserved important remains, including the Costa dei Lippi and Costa Murata sites near the cemetery and the very sturdy Mura dell’Arce (Cyclopean city walls). The most interesting sight here, however, is the Etruscan necropolis, set slightly apart from the other ruins.
