  Pros

  We stayed two days at the hotel and were treated to half board. The food was prepared well, bisteca fiorentina was tasty and very good. So were the choclate cake with orange sauce and tagliata and filetto di manzu. The amount of food served was graciously big which was nice after days of rigorous workout. The kirchen really knows their stuff. It was nice to be able to exchange dishes from the set menue (for additional cost, of course) this was handled very professionally.

  Cons

  The waiters were arrogant the first and second day and the second day they were in over their head. Since they were not very customer-oriented, the result was in both cases bad service. (not a word of excuse for orders firgotten etc.) That they play (only) one endless song of music for breakfast and dinner and one has to listen to the same sequence of 7 to ten bars for hours is bordering on ancient torture. The wine list consists almost exclusively on lical wines that are mostly rather pricy. If you don't like Sangiovese, tough luck, and there is also next to no (helpful) advice when it comes to the wine list.
