Villa Reale is surrounded by 17C gardens which were modified in the early 19C by Napoleon's sister, Elisa Bonaparte (1777-1820), Princess of Lucca and Piombino. A guide will show you round, pointing out flowerbeds, lemon trees, a 17C grotto and a delightful outdoor theatre.
