A "bovolo" is a spiral, a good name for this half-Renaissance, half-Gothic staircase, which, in a tiny courtyard, flanks Contarini del Bovolo Palace, and leads to the loggias of the home. This structure is full of grace and lightness and is attributed to Giovanni Candi. From the top, the view of the roofs and bell towers of Venice is astounding. One of the mysteries of this city is that you will never find things where you expect to find them! Closed for restoration.
