Next door to the equally legendary Caffé Quadri, this establishment opened in 1720 owes its name to its founder, Floriano Francesconi. Goldoni and Casanova, among other lesser and better known characters who visited Venice, used to come here to sit at the pedestal tables of this superbly decorated salon. Vistors should visit this café at least once, even if the prices reflect its prestige.
