San Pantaleone’s interior is famous for its ceiling, covered by the world’s largest painting on canvas, created by master of trompe l’oeil Giovanni Antonio Fumiani between 1684 and 1704: architectural conceits and perspective effects create a vertiginous false sky, in which float countless angels and saints. On the right hand side of the church are paintings of San Pantaleone and San Bernardino by Veronese.
