Vigevano Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The striking Piazza Ducale, built between 1492 and 1494 by Bramante for Ludovico Maria Sforza (Ludovico il Moro), is considered to be the finest example of a Lombard Renaissance square. Its current layout dates from 1680 when the Baroque cathedral, containing a small treasury, was built, closing the fourth side. Steps lead up to Sforzesco castle, first built in 1345 by Luchino Visconti and transformed into a sumptuous residence by the Sforzas (interesting stables).
