This splendid location is famous for the Villa d'Este, an opulent 16C residence now converted into a hotel: only guests are allowed into the villa and the lovely surrounding park . The way to see the villa and setting is from the lake, but alternatively the view from Piazza del Risorgimento, near the landing stage with the Art Nouveau-style roof, is also very impressive.

è strano che abbiate inserito Cernobbio e non Tremezzo con la Villa Carlotta,aperta al pubblico, con la merovigliosa fioritura di azalee in primavera e con il museo all'interno della villa, con sttaue del Canova.
